Kisses to Miami
Let’s face it nothing changes your perspective like going to new places. Visiting the same location twice at different ages boy does it makes a huge difference in what you want to experience. Nothing screams growth like realizing the things you wanted to do most don’t even appeal to you as much anymore.
When I was 21, for my birthday I traveled to Miami and my goal was to party, party, party and party some more. I mean .. you only turn this legal age to drink in the U.S once so what better place to celebrate besides Vegas maybe? However, this time around 6 years later we decided for my cousins dirty 30 to revisit.
A girls trip, a little more seasoned, best friends and a whole different mind set. This time we stayed at The Bentley Hotel, which I would highly recommend for couples and for people looking to simply relax. Our room was 501 literally once you came out of our room it leds to steps which brings you to the pool and jacuzzi. When I say we owned that pool .. we owned it. No one was ever in it but us our entire 4 day vacay.
Every morning the hotel offers breakfast and 2 free drinks. I, by the way missed them every morning but, the birthday girl didn’t. Arriving to the hotel we were a little sketchy because it looked nothing like what we expected on the outside, but once we reached the second floor .. from the smell to the orange infused water and just overall ambiance .. beautiful.
We were treated with the best customer service and went green our entire stay, so each night we saved 5 dollars and maintained the place ourselves. The Bentley is located on Ocean drive which is literally across from the beach and right around the corner from Walgreens. I know Walgreens I said it has a liquor store only in Miami. Perfect little spot to pick up your pregaming favorites also little snacks, food etc.
What I loved most about our stay at this hotel was how accessible everything was in terms of walking distance/lyft rides. The strip has tons of cute little spots and a bunch of hotels with buy one get one drinks and the cool thing is every spot I ate at offered free shots. Girls just want to have fun! Duh.
I mentioned on a previous post how I created an itinerary prior to my visit. Make opentable your bestie/ resy for food spots, I swear it saved us so much time. Also, use hotels free transportation service we didn’t get to use it because we were the kind of gals who would say let’s call and end up waiting too late.
And if you’re anything like myself, find some spots you can dance at to let loose. Stay hydrated especially if you go in June because the humidity there was unreal. And go with people who you will enjoy experiencing either a super lax trip or super turnt. Either way just have FUN!
Where are 2 places you would like to visit in the next year? What would be the purpose of it? And how do you think you’ll grow from it?
As always lots of love and bub,
