The Greatest Day Ever
Finally! An event that connects the hood to a positive. The Bronx as we may know has been on fire for the past month. We needed an event like this shed some light and bring some joy. A lot of folks have never been to the boogie and this was a great example of what love, fun and culture should feel like in New York.
Growing up in the Bronx these are the type of events that could make people step out of their comfort zone. Come out of the Bronx, there’s more to see you know. Since gentrification has taken over most neighborhoods are losing their culture and their essence. I love that the location of this event gave the feeling of Williamsburg by the water but, soon as we left the premises gave me old New York.
The Greatest Day Ever has been an event on my to-do list since last year. My cousin (Ebony) and I have had our eyes on tickets then, a raffle happened and she ended up winning. Thank you Farah! We became weekend warriors.
Honestly felt like the biggest kid getting on rides. I think that was wine courage, either way I had a blast. We got on every ride in between acts and enjoyed funnel cake. My favorite performances were Metroboomin and Tory Lanez. And nothing was cuter than the Babe wine stand, I enjoy wine and most importantly rosè in the summer! Duh.
The highlight of this event for me was bumping into people I knew, spending time with people I love and being 8 years old again. Ah! That feeling of being whittle and carefree feels amazing.
Back to reality it’s Monday! Be great, have fun. Summer is moving pretty fast.
As always lots of love and bub,
