Work & Play
As we get older the more focused some of us become, if you haven’t always been that way. For me, I’ve always been all about my future and also a party girl ( give me the floor and music) and I’m good to go. Obviously, responsibilities come first and bills before being I guess “on the scene”.
Sometimes you work so much, have tunnel vision on all the things you need to do next we may forget to play. How can you forget to play? Well ... it’s simple. Curve everything. Let’s just say I’ve been the queen of that for awhile then, I noticed ... wait, you have no ties, no kids you can be as free as you want. Nothing can hold you back from doing anything your heart desires but, YOU.
The dramatics of listing the reasons you should make time for fun was listed above. But, seriously having that balance of enjoying yourself with people you love and who are vibrating on the same frequency as you. Mood changer to the 10th power. Literally! No matter your mood, when you have a tribe of bad ass friends they snap you back to reality.
The grind is imperative to get to the next level, but being able to let your hair down in between and remember everything is not “serious”. I would compare this feeling to multiple orgasms or exercising you know endorphins makes you happy — it’s that simple.
When you let loose whatever that may mean to you, you feel good going into work with a clearer focus or maybe even new found appreciation. One thing for certain and two things for sure balancing work and play makes life much lighter. You curve somethings still duh, not every invitation needs a yes. But — everyone needs a balance, so I think I like this seesaw ride .. I’m smack dead in the middle.
What can you balance better if not work/play?
As always lots of love and bub,
