Being a 20 something in the hospitality industry, utilizing all of my creative outlets and figuring out what calls me more can be so overwhelming at times. As a kid, I always thought people in their 20’s had it all figured out and sometimes it seems that way with everyone but, most times we are all figuring things out. It’s a process. Someone recently told me “everything is a process” and that resonated within me.
As I reflect on my roaring 20’s these are some things I’ve either learned to use or still learning :
1) Take your time. Enjoy the process of everything you experience
2) Don’t second guess yourself - this comes with confidence, you can be confident but still be indecisive in certain areas. Making a mistake is okay, you will fall but you will get back up. Don’t be afraid to make a mistake — it’s okay.
3)Others opinion don’t matter- if you live your life worrying if you’re being too much and this is who you truly are they’re not meant to be in your life. You should never have to shrink yourself in order to make other people feel comfortable around you. It’s either they will be inspired by you or intimidated either way, you shouldn’t be concerned. Just BE YOU and DO YOU!
4)Relationships - If you know it has an expiration date from the beginning. Let it go.
5) Never loss your inner child.
6) What you’re passionate about may have been done before but, not in a way you will do it.
I share this because I think it’s essential to have reminders. Do you have any gentle reminders to yourself? Is their anything you’re not currently using or doing? If so, what is it?
As always lots of love and bubbly,
