Tip Toeing around Tipping
In a place full of fabulous restaurants on every corner warmer weather requires more dining out. Duh! Nothing says spring and summer like margaritas on the rocks, prosecco and mules.
I’ve worked the service industry for quite some time now. Let’s just say this if we plan to do it big going out tip accordingly. There’s nothing cute about racking up a bill and tipping 5 dollars or 10. Not even 18%. It all depends on service of course but, if we can pay for all the labels in the world, come through stunting for brunch,lunch/dinner we should be able to match that via service.
Nothing screams cheap like a person who wants to ball out and then the bill comes and don’t leave a decent tip for the service they received. Common things we are not taught in school, you just assume well they get paid hourly no big deal. But, if we plan on living this life of being privileged — lavish shit from start to finish everything including the signature should be lavish.
The different types of services which entails tipping are the following : bartenders, waiters/waitress, hostess, coat check. Each individual deserves to be tipped after all everyone has to eat. Don’t get me wrong if the service is horrible you tip according to how feel. If we are going to be fancy and go to expensive restaurant pay up!
Let’s face it. If you can’t pay up! Stay your ass home honestly. Make all the dishes, drinks, etc at home. People bend over backwards to accommodate and shower people in restaurants and all the modifications etc. guilty I’m the girl like excuse me no cheese, no tomato, no mushroom, do you have lemon citronette dressing? Can you place that on the side? Before leaving this industry I felt it was important to highlight the most over looked thing in dining.
Dine and be fine. But don’t be cheap and remember it’s a service being provided at the end of the day. Ask for what you want and it shall be delivered. So cheers to us dining and tipping properly and finally getting some warm weather on the way. After all, wages have went up but the real coin is hustled in tipping.
18% and better.
As always lots of love and bubbly,
