Tis' the season
Here we are welcoming Hotumn and November at the same time. It's insane how warm it's been for autumn, but I will not complain about the global warming at all. Summer babies do appreciate the heat *raises hand this girl right here*. I just knew once November hit, heres go the seasonal depression ... okay thats a bit dramatic. The cold just makes me want to stay in bed honestly and watch movies and maybe read. Now that we are approaching holiday season it's all about giving ... finding small ways to give back.
Nothing gets me in the mood for some holiday festivites like mariah's "all I want for christmas" it may be too soon for it, but today I went into a Sephora and lord and behold guess what was playing . . . Christmas music *does a quick shmoney dance* that's right. I knew right then and there it was officially appropriate for me to get my holiday jams in. This time of year excites me so much, sometimes I wish this feeling would last all year round besides my birthday month of course.
Generally, what makes this time of year so grand is the fact that everyone seems to be in such a loving mood. Pay attention to those around you during November - January, I don't know if its the giving back part or gathering together as a family frequently but for some reason I've noticed the change in auras, even with strangers. Perhaps we all get caught up being stuffed for thanksgiving, gift shopping or simply being in the presence of our loved ones those simple yet most important things fill us with joy.
If you don't already, use this time of year to amplify your gratitude for the things you have at this point, do so. Sometimes we get so caught up on our lack of, if we channel our focus on positive things it will reflect. Last year around this time, I was facing a tough time ... my stepdad was in and out of the hospital battling bladder cancer and I needed something to pick me up. So, I started taking photos of things that inspired me everyday and posted it on social media .. I was showing myself appreciation for life through the lens of things I came across everyday. I challenge you during this season of jolly to find ways to make a difference. It can be as simple as giving a blanket to a homeless, or donating old belongings to your nearest goodwill or thrift shops, or simply just holding the door for someone or saying have a good day. Sometimes it’s the smallest thing such as have a good day or great day that may make someones day, you never know what someone may be going through.
For the last two months of this year I want to collect all the good vibes and share it. So to my readers I want the same for you! Make a small difference everyday and if you have time to write about it. Jot it down and tuck it away, a woman once told me if you note how you feel everyday before bed you’ll be at ease. If I can have you take anything away from this post I would hope finding things your grateful for this week and note your small deeds also, how does it make you feel doing these things? Even if that means doing something just for yourself. Happy November!
As always with lots of love & bubbly
